Headaches Migraines Affirmations

Most people and even children have experienced headaches or even migraines.

What helps you when your head is aching? 

There are lots of methods and which one we choose is probably right for us.

Do you think that what you believe is powerful?

According to Annette Noontil (The Body is the Barometer of the Soul)

The attitudes related to headaches and migraines are as follows:

Headaches

Front of head, pressure

Holding on to old limitations and not seeing good in anything.

Back of head

Pressurizing yourself through impatience that you have not done enough

Migraines

Nervous headaches Back of head

Your communication to yourself that you are the one who needs to be accepted is not happening. Tell yourself you accept yourself no matter what has happened to you.

Nervous headaches front of head

Not communicating with your inner being to know yourself.

Not believing you can stand up for yourself and say what you want.

Letting others tell you what to do and not communicating to them that you dislike being told what to do.

I turned these into

Affirmations:

  • I feel more and more free  to tell others that I dislike to be told what to do.
  • I am patient with myself and trust that I have done enough.
  • I let go of limitations and see the good in things.
  • I see myself and everyone as equal.
  • I allow myself to be the love that I am. I am at peace with myself.
  • More and more am I accepting myself no matter what happens to me.

Feeling Good and Freedom

Feeling Good and Freedom


Regardless of what we want to be, do or have,

at the base of that want usually lies

the desire for feeling good and feeling free.

Lost our way, didn’t feel good about ourselves, low self esteem?

When we accepted the repeated words/beliefs of others (caregivers, teacher, etc.) that we were not good enough, or anything else along those lines, it didn’t feel good because our Inner Being didn’t agree with us.

The reason we didn’t feel good when that happened was the discord between the belief of our Inner Being and the thoughts/words we agreed to believe.

So, when we don’t feel good what do we do?

Find a way of getting some relief from that feeling.

There are lots of ways of getting that relief and most of the time we tend to go for the one that is easiest, or one that has been modelled to us by other people.

Some of the methods of getting relief are more accepted than others and they also can be used in moderation or in excess and become an addiction.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we would have learned as children where that not so good feeling came from and that we can reach for better feeling thoughts to find relief.

Finding relief through better feeling thoughts, and continuing to do this, can gradually move us up the emotional guidance scale to hope, optimism, positive expectation and eventually self empowerment and Joy and Freedom.

This means you find a slightly better feeling thought and feel a little better and then you do that again and again and again through out the day. It may or may not make a significant difference within a day, even if it takes a few days, do you think it worth it?

Dreams

Dreams can be a tool for manifesting what we want

We can use dreams in two ways:

  1. After we dreamt something to get clear on what we want and then focusing on that
  2. Before we go to sleep know what we want and then let the dream show us how it can be, which we then can use to expand on when we are awake.

So in the first scenario when we remember a dream it does not really matter what we dreamt, what is important is how we felt. Because when we know how we felt we can reach for better feeling thought.

If it was a good feeling dream we  may want expand on that.

If it was a dream that did not feel good  we may want to reach for better feeling thougthts

Either way our dreams can show us where our thoughts have been before and then we have  the choice of where we want to direct our thoughts so we can live more the life we want to live.

The second scenario is very useful if we want something and we have very little or no life experiences to fall back on for visualizing or feeling it. ( i.e. being rich, truly in love or full of energy). We can get clear on what it is  that we want and talk to our Inner Being about what we want and why we want it and then let our Inner Being show us in our dream what that would be like. That would give us the pictures and the feelings to work with. We can then fine it.

Feelings

Feelings that don’t feel so good

I used to feel powerless when I was experiencing negative feelings. I used to think that my negative feelings were a response to a situation/condition.

Now I understand that I have a choice over the thoughts I think and by choosing even slightly better feeling thoughts I can feel better, get a sense of relief.

That slight shift in my feelings, even though it isn’t much at the time, is the start of feeling even better as I continue to find better feeling thoughts.

When I was in depression thoughts about revenge felt better and from there moving into angry thoughts and then to frustration and eventually to hope.

Hang on you may say: “Revenge? Anger?”

Yes.   Doesn’t revenge and anger feel better than depression?

I like to emphasize that I am talking about thoughts unless you are very constructive in expressing you anger in words. If you need to express them write them, or speak them onto a tape and then discard/delete it afterwards.

When we allow those feelings/thoughts of revenge and anger to be acknowledged we are free to move on to better feeling thoughts.

Our negative Feelings let us know:

  • when we have been thinking thoughts which are not in alignment with our Inner Being/ Source Energy
  • that I have focused on something that doesn’t feel good instead of focusing on the positive aspects of the situation.

If the situation is one that we don’t like, then the positive aspect could be:

that because of this not so nice/horrible situation, which provides the contrast,

we gain more clarity about what we want and then we can focus on that.

Relief – the slightest improvement in our feelings – is what we need to aim at.


When we keep doing that on a regular basis we will feel better and better.

Reaching for thoughts that provide relief  has and is still working for me.
